We are on a mission to defend Summit County from the opioid crisis. We won't stop until our families and neighbors are no longer dying from this epidemic. One of the best defense strategies we have is making sure all excess medications are used, stored and disposed of properly. The fact is, most kids that try opioids for the first time get them from the medicine cabinet of someone they know. That's why it's so important to safely dispose of any unused, outdated and no longer necessary medications before they fall into the wrong hands.
This is where you can make a big difference! We are on a mission to equip 1,000 Summit County residences with a Defender Toolkit. These toolkits include everything needed for a household to safely use, store and dispose medicine. The toolkits include a medication lockbox, two environmentally-friendly drug deactivation pouches, safe usage, storage and disposal checklists and a Prescription Pill Safety magnet.
Toolkits are available for a donation of $25. Please consider making a donation to purchase a toolkit for yourself, your friends and neighbors. Together - we can create a community which safely uses, stores and disposes its medicine.
Thank you for all you are doing to help save lives!
